Monday, April 5, 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. - Mary Melnyk, President of the Columbia Historical Society, will present a slide show of the "Columbia Story" at the Columbia Branch Library, 13824 W. River Rd., N., Columbia Station. The story about the first pioneers to Columbia Township was put together by the Columbia PTA for the sesquicentennial celebration of Columbia Township in 1957. Saturday, April 17 at 10:30 a.m. - At this free program Gail Bartter, a 25-year member of the Western Reserve Herb Society, will share information on a variety of herbs including dill, thyme, scented geraniums and lavender. Find out about tussie mussies and see a demonstration of how to make one. Sample a lavender cookie and taste a few rosemary walnuts. Sponsored by Friends of the Columbia Library, Inc. in celebration of National Library Week. Preregistration required by calling Columbia Branch Library at 440.236.8751. Saturday, April 17, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. - Children of all ages will enjoy Jungle Terry's program with live snakes, frogs, turtles, and alligators in a fun, educational, and interactive program.
